Marseille Provence Airport and Aix-en-Provence TGV station
Aix-en-Provence has no commercial airport of its own: most visitors fly into Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) in Marignane, about 24 km from the city. It has flights across Europe, North Africa and to Canada; a direct route to Shanghai opened in 2024. Transfers between the airport and central Aix are charged at a fixed price (see the sample prices above).
Give your flight number when you book: your chauffeur follows your actual arrival time. As an option, your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign.
Aix-en-Provence TGV station stands on the Arbois plateau, on the RD 9 road, 15 to 18 km from the city centre, between Aix and the airport. Only high-speed trains stop there: Paris-Gare de Lyon is about three hours away, and direct TGVs also run to Lille, Strasbourg, Nantes, Rennes, Nancy and Nice. The city-centre station, Aix-en-Provence Centre, only has regional TER trains. You can follow your flight or train live on our flight tracking and train tracking pages.
Business travel, meetings and conferences (MICE)
Aix is a university city, whose university was founded in 1409, and a busy business hub, especially around the Les Milles business park and the Arbois plateau. The Centre de Congrès, 14 boulevard Carnot, on the edge of the old town, has a 503-seat auditorium and 600 m² of flexible space. The Arena du Pays d'Aix, on rue Claude-Nicolas-Ledoux in Les Milles, seats 6,000 in its main hall and rents out rooms for conventions, trade shows and product launches. The Grand Théâtre de Provence (up to 1,366 seats), in the Sextius-Mirabeau district, suits prestige evening events.
Wine estates and country houses around Aix also host seminars and receptions. Every year in early July, the Rencontres Économiques d'Aix bring business leaders and economists together for three days.
For companies, agencies and event organisers:
- transfers between the airport, the TGV station, hotels and event venues, in sedans and vans;
- chauffeur by the hour or by the day for site visits or back-to-back meetings;
- corporate account with monthly invoicing and negotiated rates;
- Factur-X (EN 16931) electronic invoices and the carbon footprint of every ride, calculated with the ADEME method.

Extend your stay: Cézanne, wine and Provençal villages
A meeting on Friday, one more day in the area: Aix is made for bleisure. It draws travellers from all over the world with its way of life, its food and its landscapes. A few ideas with a chauffeur at your disposal:
- The old town: the Cours Mirabeau, laid out from 1649, with its mansions and fountains, from La Rotonde to the King René fountain; Saint-Sauveur Cathedral and its cloister; the Mazarin quarter and the Caumont Centre d'Art, set in an 18th-century mansion.
- In Cézanne's footsteps: in 2026, the Atelier des Lauves studio and the Jas de Bouffan, the painter's family home, are open from 4 July to 31 October. The Musée Granet has two rooms devoted to Cézanne. The Bibémus quarries can be visited by booking ahead.
- Montagne Sainte-Victoire, Cézanne's favourite subject, rising to 1,011 m east of the city. Some trails close at times, so check access before you set off.
- Wine: the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence appellation covers around fifty municipalities, while the tiny Palette appellation, about 4 km south-east of the city, makes red, rosé and white wines. At Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade, Château La Coste combines vineyards, architecture and contemporary art, with pavilions by Tadao Ando and Frank Gehry, among others.
- The Luberon and lavender: Gordes and Sénanque Abbey, then the Valensole plateau, whose fields bloom in early summer, usually from late June through July depending on the weather.
- The sea: Cassis, with its harbour and its white wine, and the Calanques National Park, created in 2012. Access to the hills is restricted in summer because of the fire risk, so check the daily update.
Do try the calisson, Aix's almond and candied-melon sweet with a white icing top; it is blessed every year in early September. Highlights of the year: the Easter Festival in spring, the Festival d'Aix (opera, founded in 1948) in July and Vignobles en Scène in mid-October.
