Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport and Saint-Jean station
Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport (BOD) is in Mérignac, about 12 km west of central Bordeaux. It has three terminals: Hall A, Hall B and billi, the terminal for low-cost airlines. Airport transfers to and from the city centre or Saint-Jean station are charged at a fixed price (see the sample prices above).
In 2026 the airport began building a new central terminal between Halls A and B, and it stays open throughout the works. You can no longer walk between the two halls indoors: a signposted outdoor path links them. Give your flight number when you book: your chauffeur tracks your actual arrival time. As an option, your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign.
Bordeaux-Saint-Jean station, on rue Charles-Domercq, has three halls; Hall 3 opens onto the Belcier side. Since the Sud Europe Atlantique high-speed line opened in 2017, Paris-Montparnasse has been just over two hours away by TGV. Give your train number when you book. You can follow your flight or train live on our flight tracking and train tracking pages.
Business travel, meetings and conferences (MICE)
Bordeaux's main event venues are grouped together in the Lac district. The Exhibition Centre has more than 70,000 m² of covered space, including Hall 1, a single 50,140 m² hall. Linked to Hall 1 by a covered walkway, Palais 2 l'Atlantique opened in 2019 and holds up to 6,000 people for a plenary session. Nearby, the Palais des Congrès de Bordeaux, on avenue Jean-Gabriel Domergue, has three auditoriums with 1,277, 353 and 196 seats and 3,025 m² of flexible space. These venues are run by BEAM (Bordeaux Events And More, formerly Congrès et Expositions de Bordeaux), which also runs the Cité Mondiale convention centre in the Chartrons district and Hangar 14. The Stade Atlantique (formerly Matmut Atlantique, around 42,000 seats), run by Bordeaux Métropole, also hosts trade shows.
The Exhibition Centre hosts the Jumping International de Bordeaux show-jumping event in early February, and Vinitech-Sifel, the trade fair for vine and wine equipment, every two years (next edition in early December 2026). Around Saint-Jean station, the Bordeaux Euratlantique urban development project (covering Bordeaux, Bègles and Floirac) is building new office districts such as Amédée Saint-Germain and Armagnac.

Extend your business trip: bleisure around Bordeaux
A meeting on Friday, one more day in the area: with a chauffeur at your disposal, here are a few ideas around Bordeaux.
- Bordeaux itself: the "Port of the Moon", a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007, with Place de la Bourse and its water mirror. The Cité du Vin wine museum, on quai de Bacalan, opened in June 2016.
- Saint-Émilion, about 35 km east: the Jurisdiction of Saint-Émilion, eight villages listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, and its monolithic church carved out of the limestone.
- The Médoc: the Route des Châteaux (D2) starts in Blanquefort and runs along the Gironde estuary through Margaux and Pauillac. Pauillac is home to three of the first growths: Lafite Rothschild, Latour and Mouton Rothschild.
- Pessac-Léognan, just south of Bordeaux: the appellation created in 1987, home to Château Haut-Brion.
- Arcachon Bay, about 55 km south-west: Arcachon and its oyster beds, the Dune du Pilat, the highest sand dune in Europe, and Cap Ferret and its lighthouse across the bay.
- Cognac, in the Charente: the Hennessy, Martell and Rémy Martin houses offer tours, to be booked in advance.
For a full day in the vineyards, a chauffeur by the day is priced on request.
