Caen-Carpiquet Airport, Caen station and Ouistreham ferry port

Caen-Carpiquet Airport (CFR) lies just west of Caen, in the town of Carpiquet. It has year-round flights to Lyon, Marseille, Nice and Toulouse, plus Corsica from April to October. Transfers between the airport and the city centre or the railway station are charged at a fixed price (see the sample prices above).

Give your flight number when you book: your chauffeur follows your actual arrival time. As an option, your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign.

Caen railway station (15 place de la Gare) is just under two hours from Paris-Saint-Lazare on the fastest trains. Give your train number when you book. You can follow your flight or train live on our flight tracking and train tracking pages.

Ferries to Portsmouth sail from the port of Caen-Ouistreham, where the Caen canal meets the sea, about 15 km north of the city; the crossing takes around six hours. The terminal is on avenue du Grand Large in Ouistreham. Follow your crossing on our ferry tracking page.

Business travel, meetings and conferences (MICE)

Caen hosts conferences, trade fairs and corporate events all year round. The Centre de Congrès, 13 avenue Albert-Sorel, a short walk from the historic centre, has a 539-seat lecture theatre, the Tansillo hall of over 1,000 m² and nine meeting rooms, about 4,000 m² of flexible space in all. The Parc des Expositions on rue Joseph-Philippon offers more than 71,000 m² of indoor and outdoor space and hosts the Caen International Fair every September. Both venues are run by Caen Événements (GL events).

The exhibition centre and the Zénith concert hall (around 6,500 people) stand side by side, about 3 km west of the centre. Tramway extension works are under way in this area and affect access to its car parks, so allow a little extra time on event days. In Deauville, 45 minutes from Caen airport, the Centre International de Deauville sits on the seafront opposite the casino, with 18,000 m² of space and a 1,500-seat auditorium.

For companies, agencies and event organisers:

  • transfers between the airport, the station, the ferry terminal, hotels and event venues, in sedans and vans;
  • chauffeur by the hour or by the day for site visits or back-to-back meetings;
  • corporate account with monthly invoicing and negotiated rates;
  • Factur-X (EN 16931) electronic invoices and the carbon footprint of every ride, calculated with the ADEME method.

For an event or regular volume, tell us what you need on our business and partners page.

Extend your business trip: bleisure around Caen

A meeting on Friday, one more day in the area: with a chauffeur at your disposal, here are a few ideas starting from Caen.

  • Caen itself: the castle William the Conqueror founded around 1060 (free access to the grounds, with the Musée de Normandie and the Fine Arts Museum inside), and the Caen Memorial on Esplanade Général-Eisenhower, a museum of the Second World War and the Battle of Caen.
  • The D-Day beaches: Sword at Ouistreham, then Juno, Gold and Omaha. At Colleville-sur-Mer, the Normandy American Cemetery overlooks Omaha Beach: 9,389 graves, free entry. According to the ABMC, which runs the cemetery, a free reservation will be required between 1 April and 31 August from 2027.
  • Bayeux, about 30 km away: the Bayeux Tapestry Museum is closed for renovation and is due to reopen in October 2027. Meanwhile, the Tapestry is on show at the British Museum in London until 11 July 2027.
  • The Côte Fleurie and the Pays d'Auge: Deauville and its boardwalk, Les Planches; Honfleur, with its Vieux Bassin harbour and Sainte-Catherine, the largest wooden church in France; and the Cider Route, a loop of about 40 km through Beuvron-en-Auge, Cambremer and Bonnebosq, with some twenty cider, pommeau and calvados producers.
  • Mont-Saint-Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its bay since 1979. Cars stop at the car parks, 2.7 km from the Mount; the free Le Passeur shuttle leaves from opposite the visitor information centre.

Highlights of the year: the D-Day commemorations around 6 June, the Deauville American Film Festival in early September, and the Caen International Fair in September.
