Nice Côte d'Azur Airport, Cannes-Mandelieu Airport and Cannes station
Cannes has no airport for scheduled flights: most visitors arrive at Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (NCE), about 20 km away as the crow flies. It has two terminals, T1 and T2, linked by a free tram; the enlarged T2 opened in April 2026. In summer there are direct flights to destinations including New York and Montréal. Transfers between the airport and the Croisette or Cannes station are charged at a fixed price (see the sample prices above).
Give your flight number when you book: your chauffeur follows your actual arrival time. As an option, your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign. Flying privately? Cannes-Mandelieu Airport, on the west side of town, is reserved for business and leisure aviation, and we can collect you there too.
Cannes railway station is right in the centre, a few streets from the Croisette. It is served by TGV INOUI and OUIGO trains from Paris-Gare-de-Lyon (around 5 to 5½ hours, depending on the train), by the night train from Paris-Austerlitz and by regional TER trains along the coast. Give your train number when you book. You can follow your flight or train live on our flight tracking and train tracking pages.
Roadworks: the town is redesigning the Croisette. Surface works began in mid-October 2026, after MIPCOM, and are due to run until the end of 2028, pausing every May for the Film Festival. Traffic keeps flowing west to east, with temporary diversions, and hotels remain accessible, so just allow a little extra time.
Business travel, meetings and conferences (MICE)
Cannes runs on its big professional events. The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, at the start of boulevard de la Croisette next to the Old Port, offers around 35,000 m² of exhibition space, the Grand Auditorium Louis Lumière (2,309 seats), the Théâtre Claude Debussy (1,068 seats), the Riviera hall and some fifteen meeting rooms. To the west, Mandelieu-la-Napoule also has an exhibition and conference centre.
Key dates at the Palais: MIPIM, the global property fair, in mid-March; the Cannes Film Festival and the Marché du Film in May (11 to 22 May in 2027); Cannes Lions, the festival of creativity in advertising, in June; the Cannes Yachting Festival in September, at the Old Port and Port Pierre-Canto; MIPCOM, the TV and content market, in October; and ILTM, the luxury travel market, in early December. During these busy weeks, book your transfers early.

Extend your stay: Cannes and the Riviera with a chauffeur
One more day after a trade fair, or a proper holiday: the Riviera is best explored by car with a chauffeur, moving from one stop to the next without hunting for a parking space.
- Cannes itself: the Croisette with its grand hotels and luxury boutiques, rue d'Antibes for shopping, Le Suquet, the historic hilltop quarter where the Musée de la Castre occupies the old castle, and the Forville market for Provençal produce. In 2026 the Martinez became the first hotel in Cannes to be awarded "Palace" status.
- The Lérins Islands, just offshore: Sainte-Marguerite, about a quarter of an hour by boat, with the fort where the Man in the Iron Mask was held; and Saint-Honorat, where Cistercian monks still live and make their own wine.
- Grasse, some 20 km inland: the town of perfume, whose perfume-making skills have been on UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2018. You can visit the International Perfume Museum and the historic perfume houses.
- Saint-Paul-de-Vence: a walled hilltop village full of art galleries, home to the Fondation Maeght, opened in 1964.
- Nice and Monaco: in Nice, the Promenade des Anglais, at the heart of "Nice, Winter Resort Town of the Riviera", a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2021; further east, Monaco, Monte-Carlo, Place du Casino and its luxury shops.
- Saint-Tropez, to the west along the Esterel coast: its harbour, its beaches and the Côtes de Provence vineyards, famous for their rosé wines.
In summer, the Festival d'Art Pyrotechnique lights up the bay with fireworks.
