Grenoble, Lyon and Geneva airports, and Grenoble station
Grenoble Alpes Isère Airport (GNB) is in Saint-Étienne-de-Saint-Geoirs, about 40 km north-west of Grenoble. Its scheduled routes are seasonal and mostly run in winter, linking the Alpine resorts with the United Kingdom (London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh…), Ireland, Poland and Lithuania. Transfers between the airport and Grenoble city centre or the railway station are charged at a fixed price (see the sample prices above).
Outside the season, many travellers fly into Lyon-Saint-Exupéry (LYS), about 100 km north-west, or Geneva (GVA). Give your flight number when you book: your chauffeur follows your actual arrival time. As an option, your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign.
Grenoble station, facing the Europole business district, is about three hours from Paris-Gare-de-Lyon by TGV. TGV trains also run to Lyon-Saint-Exupéry station, and regional TER trains to Lyon-Part-Dieu, Chambéry and Geneva. Give your train number when you book. You can follow your flight or train live on our flight tracking and train tracking pages.
Business travel, meetings and conferences (MICE)
Grenoble is one of Europe's leading centres for research and high-tech industry. It is home to the CEA and its CEA-Leti institute, the Minatec innovation campus for micro- and nanotechnology, the European Synchrotron (ESRF) and the Institut Laue-Langevin.
Two venues host most events. The World Trade Center convention centre, at 5-7 place Robert-Schuman, is a short walk from the station in the Europole business district, with an auditorium of about 530 seats, a 1,200 m² atrium and 14 meeting rooms. South of the city, on avenue d'Innsbruck, Alpexpo combines 40,000 m² of covered exhibition space, the Summum hall (up to 3,000 seats) and the Alpes Congrès auditorium. The Grenoble Fair is held there every autumn; in 2026 it runs from 30 October to 8 November.
For companies, agencies and event organisers:
- transfers between Grenoble, Lyon and Geneva airports, the station, hotels and event venues, in sedans and vans;
- chauffeur by the hour or by the day for site visits, laboratory tours or back-to-back meetings;
- corporate account with monthly invoicing and negotiated rates;
- Factur-X (EN 16931) electronic invoices and the carbon footprint of every ride, calculated with the ADEME method.

Extend your stay: mountains, heritage and flavours around Grenoble
Host of the 1968 Winter Olympics and European Green Capital in 2022, Grenoble is ringed by three mountain ranges: the Chartreuse, the Vercors and Belledonne.
- Grenoble itself: the cable car, running since 1934 with its spherical "bubbles" since 1976, climbs from the banks of the Isère to the Bastille fort at 482 m, with views over the whole city and the peaks. The Musée de Grenoble, on place Lavalette, shows Rubens, Zurbarán, Matisse and Picasso. In Paul-Mistral park, the Tour Perret, built in 1925, reopened to the public in July 2026 after restoration.
- The Chartreuse: in Voiron, the Chartreuse Cellars tell the story of the monks' liqueur and end with a tasting of green and yellow Chartreuse; buy your tickets online. The Grande Chartreuse monastery itself is closed to visitors, but its museum at La Correrie, 2 km away, shows how the monks live.
- The Vercors and Vizille: in Sassenage, the château and the Cuves, caves carved out by water; at the Domaine de Vizille, the Museum of the French Revolution.
- The ski resorts: Chamrousse, above the city in the Belledonne range, hosted the alpine skiing events of the 1968 Games, where Jean-Claude Killy won three gold medals. Alpe d'Huez, at 1,860 m and 59 km from Grenoble, is reached by its 21 hairpin bends and offers around 250 km of pistes.
- Dauphiné cuisine: Grenoble walnuts, a protected designation of origin since 1938, gratin dauphinois, ravioles, Saint-Marcellin cheese and Bleu du Vercors-Sassenage.
Highlights of the year: the Rencontres Ciné Montagne mountain film festival in mid-October, the Grenoble Fair in the autumn, then the Christmas market on place Victor-Hugo and place Grenette.
