Montpellier-Méditerranée Airport, Saint-Roch and Sud-de-France stations
Montpellier-Méditerranée Airport (MPL) is in Mauguio, about 7 km east-south-east of the city, between Montpellier and the sea. It has flights to Paris-Orly and Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Amsterdam, London, several French cities, including Nantes, and North Africa; some routes are seasonal. From 6 November 2026, new routes open to Bordeaux and Madrid. Transfers between the airport and central Montpellier are charged at a fixed price (see the sample prices above).
Give your flight number when you book: your chauffeur follows your actual arrival time. As an option, your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign.
Montpellier has two TGV stations. Saint-Roch is right in the centre, a few minutes' walk from Place de la Comédie, and about 3 hours 30 minutes from Paris-Gare de Lyon. Sud-de-France station opened in 2018 on the Nîmes–Montpellier bypass line, about 6 km from the centre near the Odysseum district; some TGV and OUIGO trains stop there instead of Saint-Roch, so check the station on your ticket. Give your train number when you book. You can follow your flight or train live on our flight tracking and train tracking pages.
Business travel, meetings and conferences (MICE)
As a university and medical city, Montpellier hosts many scientific conferences. The Corum, on the edge of Esplanade Charles-de-Gaulle at the entrance to the old town, combines a conference centre and an opera house: three auditoriums, including the Opéra Berlioz with around 2,000 seats, 24 meeting rooms and 6,000 m² of exhibition space, for events of up to 3,500 people.
Major trade fairs take place in Pérols, south of the city and close to the airport. The Parc des Expositions hosts the Montpellier International Fair every autumn (9 to 19 October in 2026). Next door, the Sud de France Arena holds up to 13,500 people for concerts, as well as international sports events. The Zénith Sud, east of the city, seats up to 6,000. On big event days the road to the airport and Pérols gets busy, so allow a little extra time.
For companies, agencies and event organisers:
- transfers between the airport, both stations, hotels and event venues, in sedans and vans;
- chauffeur by the hour or by the day for site visits, wine estates or back-to-back meetings;
- corporate account with monthly invoicing and negotiated rates;
- Factur-X (EN 16931) electronic invoices and the carbon footprint of every ride, calculated with the ADEME method.

Extend your business trip: bleisure around Montpellier
A meeting on Friday, one more day in the area: Montpellier makes an easy base for a day of heritage, Languedoc wine and the Mediterranean. Here are a few ideas with your chauffeur.
- Montpellier itself: the Écusson, the pedestrian old town, from Place de la Comédie and its opera house to the Promenade du Peyrou, with its triumphal arch and the Arceaux aqueduct. The faculty of medicine, founded in 1220, is one of the oldest in Europe, and the Jardin des Plantes, created in 1593, is the oldest botanical garden in France.
- Pic Saint-Loup wines, about 20 km north: a protected appellation (AOC) since 2017, mostly reds made from Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre, below a 658 m peak.
- Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, about 40 km away above the Hérault gorge: Gellone Abbey and the Pont du Diable have been UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1998, as part of the Routes of Santiago de Compostela.
- Sète and the Étang de Thau: the fishing port, its canals and Mont Saint-Clair, then oysters and mussels farmed in the lagoon. Every August, the Saint-Louis festival brings water jousting to the canals.
- Aigues-Mortes and the Petite Camargue, about 30 km east: a medieval town ringed by some 1.6 km of ramparts, with the Tour de Constance and the salt marshes.
- The Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct almost 49 m high and a UNESCO site since 1985, and Nîmes, whose Maison Carrée was listed in 2023.
For visitors travelling from further afield, whether from Europe or Asia, the region strikes a fine balance: great wines tasted at the estate, Roman and medieval sites, Mediterranean cooking and the shops of the old town. Highlights of the year: the Comédie du Livre book festival in May, the Montpellier Danse festival from mid-June to early July, the Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier in July and the International Fair in October.
