Stations, port, Channel Tunnel and airports

TGV trains from Paris stop at Calais-Fréthun, on the high-speed line, about 7 km from the centre: allow just over two hours from Paris-Nord on a direct train, and around thirty minutes from Lille-Europe. The station, renovated in 2024 and 2025, has not been served by Eurostar for several years. Calais-Ville station, right in the centre, mainly handles regional TER trains. Give your train number when you book: your chauffeur follows your actual arrival time.

The Port of Calais is France's busiest passenger port: more than 7 million travellers passed through it in 2025. Ferries reach Dover in about 1 hour 30 minutes. We drop you off or wait for you there, from the station, your hotel or an airport.

The Eurotunnel terminal is in Coquelles, at exit 42 of the A16. Le Shuttle trains reach Folkestone in about 35 minutes, but they carry vehicles only: foot passengers cannot use them. We drive you to the hotels and to the Cité Europe shopping centre right next to it.

Calais has no airport with scheduled flights. The nearest is Lille-Lesquin (LIL), about 100 km away; for long-haul flights, most travellers use Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Give your flight number when you book: your chauffeur tracks your actual landing time. As an option, your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign.

You can follow your flight or train live on our flight tracking and train tracking pages.

Business travel, meetings and conferences (MICE)

As France's gateway for travellers from the United Kingdom, Calais lives on transport and logistics: the port, the Channel Tunnel and the business parks of Coquelles generate plenty of business travel.

For meetings and seminars, several hotels in Calais and in Coquelles, near the tunnel, have equipped meeting rooms, and the Calais casino offers them too. For something more unusual, the Compagnie du Dragon, on the seafront, lends itself to group receptions. The region's large conferences are mostly held in Lille, which we serve at a fixed price.

For companies, agencies and event organisers:

  • transfers between the station, the port, the Eurotunnel terminal, the airports, hotels and event venues, in sedans and vans;
  • chauffeur by the hour or by the day, on request, for back-to-back meetings or site visits;
  • corporate account with monthly invoicing and negotiated rates;
  • Factur-X (EN 16931) electronic invoices and the carbon footprint of every ride, calculated with the ADEME method.

Extend your stay: the Opal Coast, lace and heritage around Calais

One more day before crossing the Channel, or on the way back? Calais and the Opal Coast offer wide open landscapes, a luxury craft and a rich history. A few ideas with a chauffeur.

  • The town hall and the Burghers of Calais: completed in 1923, the town hall has a belfry listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005, along with the belfries of Belgium and France. In front of it stands Auguste Rodin's famous bronze group, unveiled in 1895. Close by are the 13th-century Tour du Guet watchtower and the lighthouse, built in 1848.
  • The Cité Internationale de la Dentelle et de la Mode: housed in the former Boulart factory, built in 1874, it tells the story of Leavers lace, the Calais speciality sought after by haute couture. Its exhibition galleries show creations by great couturiers such as Balenciaga, Givenchy and Yves Saint Laurent.
  • The Dragon of Calais: designed by François Delarozière and built by the La Machine company, this wood and steel dragon, about 25 m long, roams the seafront. You can ride on board for a trip of about 45 minutes to an hour, starting from the Courgain Maritime district.
  • Cap Blanc-Nez and Cap Gris-Nez: south-west of Calais, these cliffs form the Deux-Caps Grand Site de France. Cap Blanc-Nez rises to 134 m, topped by an obelisk honouring the Dover Patrol; Cap Gris-Nez is the point of the French coast closest to Great Britain.
  • Boulogne-sur-Mer: France's leading fishing port, with its walled upper town and Nausicaá, the national sea centre, whose 10-million-litre main tank opened in 2018.
  • Bruges, in Belgium, is an easy drive for a day trip.

At the table, the Opal Coast is a land of fish and seafood, landed in Boulogne. For shopping, Calais lace makes a refined gift, and the Cité Europe centre in Coquelles brings together many shops. Travelling from further afield, including Asia? Your trip extends easily to Lille, Paris or Bruges, and we drive you door to door.
