Pau Pyrénées Airport and Pau station

Pau Pyrénées Airport (PUF) is in Uzein, north-west of the city, about ten kilometres from the centre. It has scheduled flights to Paris-Orly and Paris-Charles de Gaulle, as well as to Lyon. Give your flight number when you book: your chauffeur tracks your actual landing time. As an option, your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign.

For a wider choice of international flights, Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées, Biarritz Pays Basque and Toulouse-Blagnac airports are all within driving distance. We cover these journeys at a fixed price (see the sample prices above).

Pau station sits below the city centre, beside the river (the gave). Direct TGV trains reach Paris-Montparnasse in just over four hours, via Bordeaux, and regional trains serve Tarbes, Lourdes, Bayonne and Toulouse. The free funicular links the station with the Boulevard des Pyrénées. Give your train number when you book: your chauffeur follows your actual arrival time.

You can follow your flight or train live on our flight tracking and train tracking pages.

Business travel, meetings and conferences (MICE)

Pau is home to major research and industrial sites: in energy, with TotalEnergies' Jean-Féger Scientific and Technical Centre, and in aerospace, with Safran Helicopter Engines in nearby Bordes. Business meetings take place here all year round.

The Palais Beaumont, a former winter palace opened in 1900 in the heart of the Parc Beaumont, is the city's conference centre. It offers some 2,700 m² of flexible space and a lecture theatre with about 600 seats. The Zénith de Pau hosts major shows, and every September the Parc des Expositions holds the Foire de Pau, the city's annual fair.

For companies, agencies and event organisers:

  • transfers between the station, the airports, hotels and event venues, in sedans and vans;
  • chauffeur by the hour or by the day, on request, for back-to-back meetings or site visits;
  • corporate account with monthly invoicing and negotiated rates;
  • Factur-X (EN 16931) electronic invoices and the carbon footprint of every ride, calculated with the ADEME method.

For an event or regular volume, tell us what you need on our business and partners page.

Extend your stay: heritage, the Pyrenees and Béarn wines

A meeting on Friday, one more day in the area? Pau is an ideal base between a royal town, high mountains and vineyards. A few ideas with a chauffeur.

  • The Château de Pau: Henri IV was born here in 1553. A national museum since 1927, it holds a fine collection of tapestries.
  • The Boulevard des Pyrénées: this elevated promenade, built at the end of the 19th century, looks out over the Pyrenees. It links the château with the Palais Beaumont.
  • A resort-town heritage: in the Belle Époque, wealthy foreign visitors, many of them British, came to spend the winter in Pau. The Pau Golf Club in Billère, founded in 1856, is the oldest golf club in continental Europe.
  • The Jurançon vineyards, a few minutes south and west of the city: lively dry whites and celebrated sweet wines. Tradition has it that Henri IV was given a few drops of Jurançon at his christening. Further north-east, Madiran and Pacherenc round off the tour.
  • Lourdes, about 40 km away: its sanctuary and the Massabielle grotto welcome pilgrims from all over the world every year.
  • The Cirque de Gavarnie, in the heart of the Pyrenees, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997 (Pyrénées – Mont Perdu). The Ossau valley and the Pic du Midi d'Ossau also make an easy day out.

For local flavours, head to Les Halles, Pau's covered market: garbure (a hearty cabbage soup), the poule au pot dear to Henri IV and sheep's cheeses from the valleys. For visitors from further afield, including Asia, the trip extends easily to the Basque Country and Biarritz, Bordeaux or Toulouse, and we drive you door to door.
