Poitiers station and Poitiers-Biard Airport

Poitiers station, just below the historic centre, is on the Paris – Bordeaux line. The fastest direct TGV trains reach Paris-Montparnasse in just under an hour and a half, and Bordeaux in about an hour. Regional TER trains run to La Rochelle, Niort, Limoges and Tours. Give your train number when you book: your chauffeur follows your actual arrival time.

Poitiers-Biard Airport (PIS) is very close to town, about 2.5 km to the west. It is a small airport and quick to get through. It has a few scheduled routes, including London-Stansted and Lyon-Saint-Exupéry, with timetables that change with the seasons. For long-haul flights, most travellers go through Bordeaux-Mérignac or Paris, and we cover these journeys at a fixed price (see the sample prices above).

Give your flight number when you book: your chauffeur tracks your actual landing time. As an option, your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign.

You can follow your flight or train live on our flight tracking and train tracking pages.

Business travel, meetings and conferences (MICE)

Most conference activity takes place north of the city, at the Futuroscope site, about 10 km away. The Palais des Congrès du Futuroscope faces the park entrance, with a lecture theatre, meeting rooms and exhibition space, and some 2,000 hotel rooms are grouped on the site. An extension of the Palais is planned for 2028, and the venue stays open during the works.

Next door, the Arena Futuroscope, opened in April 2022, seats just over 6,000 people for concerts, sport and large conventions. The site has its own TGV station, Futuroscope station, linked to the park by a footbridge.

In town, the University of Poitiers, founded in 1431, and the historic centre also host academic conferences and business meetings.

For companies, agencies and event organisers:

  • transfers between Poitiers and Futuroscope stations, the airport, hotels and event venues, in sedans and vans;
  • chauffeur by the hour or by the day, on request, for back-to-back meetings;
  • corporate account with monthly invoicing and negotiated rates;
  • Factur-X (EN 16931) electronic invoices and the carbon footprint of every ride, calculated with the ADEME method.

For an event or regular volume, tell us what you need on our business and partners page.

Extend your stay: Romanesque art, Futuroscope and the flavours of Poitou

One more day after your meetings? Poitiers is one of the great cities of Romanesque art in France, and the surrounding region is best explored with a chauffeur.

  • Notre-Dame-la-Grande: its 12th-century façade, covered in carvings, is a masterpiece of Poitou Romanesque. On summer evenings and during the Christmas holidays, a light show brings back its original colours.
  • The Palace of the Dukes of Aquitaine: its great medieval hall housed the Parliament of the kingdom from 1418 to 1436. The palace is being fully renovated until 2028, but the Salle des Pas Perdus remains open to visitors.
  • The Baptistery of Saint John, one of the oldest Christian buildings in France, and Saint-Pierre Cathedral, a few minutes' walk away.
  • Futuroscope, opened in 1987, a park devoted to images and technology, with an indoor water park alongside: a good day out with family or colleagues.
  • The Abbey of Saint-Savin-sur-Gartempe, about 40 km to the east, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983 for its 12th- and 13th-century Romanesque wall paintings, which cover the vault of the nave. The medieval town of Chauvigny is on the way.

For local flavours, try chabichou du Poitou, a PDO goat's cheese, farci poitevin, broyé du Poitou shortbread and Montmorillon macarons, with a glass of Haut-Poitou wine. Fond of fine spirits or great wines, whether you come from Asia or elsewhere? The Cognac houses, La Rochelle and Bordeaux are easy to reach door to door, and Paris is a short TGV ride away.
