Nîmes rail stations and airports
Nîmes station, listed as Nîmes-Centre on SNCF websites, is a few minutes' walk from the Roman amphitheatre. Direct TGV trains reach Paris-Gare de Lyon in about three hours, and other services run to Lyon, Montpellier, Marseille and Barcelona. A second station, Nîmes-Pont-du-Gard, in Manduel, about 14 km away by road, is served by some TGV trains, with a TER shuttle to the city-centre station. Give your train number when you book: your chauffeur follows your actual arrival time, at either station.
Nîmes-Alès-Camargue-Cévennes Airport (FNI), often called Nîmes-Garons, lies about ten kilometres south-east of the centre. It has a handful of routes, several of them seasonal, including flights to Brussels-Charleroi, London and Morocco. For a wider choice of destinations, travellers use Montpellier-Méditerranée, about 50 km away, or Marseille Provence. Give your flight number when you book: your chauffeur tracks your actual landing time. As an option, your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign.
You can follow your flight or train live on our flight tracking and train tracking pages.
Business travel, meetings and conferences (MICE)
Since December 2025, Nîmes has had a congress centre right in the city: h2, Centre de Congrès de Nîmes, in the Porte de France district, a short walk from the amphitheatre, the Musée de la Romanité and the station. It offers some 8,500 m² of space, an auditorium that seats up to 673 people and 18 meeting rooms for 10 to 120 guests. The Parc des Expositions hosts the Nîmes Fair and trade shows.
For a gala dinner or an outing after the sessions, the Roman monuments and the Costières de Nîmes wine estates make a memorable setting, only minutes away by car.
For companies, agencies and event organisers:
- transfers between the stations, Nîmes and Montpellier airports, hotels and event venues, in sedans and vans;
- chauffeur by the hour or by the day, on request, for back-to-back meetings or estate visits;
- corporate account with monthly invoicing and negotiated rates;
- Factur-X (EN 16931) electronic invoices and the carbon footprint of every ride, calculated with the ADEME method.
For an event or regular volume, tell us what you need on our business and partners page.
Extend your stay: Roman heritage, wine and the Camargue
Few places in France show their Roman past as clearly as Nîmes. One more day in the area after your meetings? A few ideas with a chauffeur, for lovers of history, good food and wide-open landscapes.
- The ancient heart: the Arènes, a remarkably well-preserved Roman amphitheatre; the Maison Carrée, a Roman temple listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2023; and, right opposite the amphitheatre, the Musée de la Romanité, opened in 2018, with its mosaics and pleated glass façade. The Carré d'Art, designed by Norman Foster, faces the Maison Carrée.
- The Jardins de la Fontaine, laid out in the 18th century around the ancient spring, and the Tour Magne, on top of Mont Cavalier, with views over the whole city.
- The Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct and UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985, about half an hour's drive away; it pairs well with Uzès, its ducal castle (the Duché) and its Saturday morning market.
- The Camargue: Aigues-Mortes and its ramparts, the salt pans, white horses and flamingos; and Arles, whose Roman and Romanesque monuments have been on the World Heritage list since 1981.
- The ferias: the Pentecost Feria, held over several days around Whitsun, and the Grape Harvest Feria (Feria des Vendanges), four days in September, turn the city into one big street festival. Book your chauffeur early for these dates.
For local flavours, try brandade de Nîmes (a salt cod purée), Picholine olives and almond croquants, with a glass of Costières de Nîmes, a wine appellation whose vineyards stretch between the city and the Camargue. For visitors from further afield, including Asia, the trip extends easily to Avignon, Montpellier or Provence, and we drive you door to door.
